Web design
in Kumasi

Fast, mobile-first websites and web apps: designed, built, launched and cared for by the same team that shapes the rest of your brand.

Your brand's digital home

Most of your visitors will arrive on a phone, on mobile data, somewhere with an imperfect signal. That single fact decides most of how we build. Pages are designed mobile-first and kept light, images are sized to the screen asking for them rather than shipped at full resolution to everyone, and the text is readable before the decoration finishes loading.

A site also has to carry the brand identity faithfully, which is easier when the same studio built both. The range runs from a straightforward business, church or portfolio site through to web apps: booking flows, e-commerce, member areas, admin dashboards where a team can update their own content without calling us every time a price changes. We would rather hand you something you can run than something you depend on us for.

Launch is included, not quoted as a separate adventure. Domain, hosting, DNS, SSL, redirects from an old site so existing links keep working, analytics, and the search-engine basics (page titles, descriptions, structured data, a sitemap, an accessible page structure) are part of the build rather than an upsell after the fact.

Accessibility and performance are handled the same way. A site that fails on a screen reader or takes eight seconds to paint is losing you people quietly, and neither problem announces itself in a client review. We test for both before launch instead of waiting for someone to complain.

After launch there are care plans: updates, backups, security patching and content changes on an agreed rhythm. Sites rot if nobody touches them. Around 80% of our clients stay with us on retainer, and web care is a large part of why.

The site you are reading

The most honest sample we can give you is this one. okatmedia.com is designed, built, hosted and maintained by us: mobile-first, self-hosted fonts, images served at the size the screen actually asks for, structured data on every page, and an admin behind it where the team updates the work grid, the marquees and the site theme without touching code.

It is worth saying plainly that our published case studies are campaign and identity work rather than web builds. We would rather point you at a real thing you can inspect than dress up a screenshot, so poke at this site, on your phone, and judge the work from that.

What that build gives a client, in practice: a site that stays fast on mobile data, pages that search engines can actually read, an editable back end so routine updates do not need a developer, and hosting and backups handled by the same people who designed it.

The brands linked below are ones whose identity systems we built, the same systems a website has to carry faithfully. They are not web case studies, and we are not going to claim they are.

How a project runs

01

Tell us the goal

Message us on WhatsApp or email with what you are trying to achieve, roughly when you need it, and the budget you have in mind. A person replies, not an auto-responder.

02

Fixed quote in a day

You get a written quote inside one working day. It states the scope, the deliverables and the timeline for your job, it is fixed for that scope, and it stays valid for 30 days.

03

Deposit and production

A 50% deposit confirms your slot in the schedule and covers the work up to first presentation. It is fully refundable right up until work begins. Two revision rounds per asset are included.

04

Delivery and hand-off

Final files arrive through a private link, or a shared drive for large video. Everything is yours once the invoice clears, and we keep project files for at least 12 months for re-exports.

What it costs

Websites are quoted per project because a five-page brochure site and a booking platform with accounts and payments have almost nothing in common. Page count, custom functionality, whether you need an editable admin, and how much content we write or migrate all move the number. Projects start at GHS 500.

The quote is written, fixed for the scope it lists, and valid for 30 days. If you decide mid-build that you want a feature that was not in the scope, we price it and get your agreement first. A website is the easiest kind of project to let quietly sprawl, so we do not let it.

A 50% deposit starts the build and is fully refundable until it does; the balance falls due on delivery. Pay by mobile money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money), bank transfer, or Visa and Mastercard. Domain and third-party hosting costs are passed through and shown separately, so you can see what is our fee and what is a bill from someone else. Care plans, if you want one, are quoted as a separate recurring amount.

Where we work

Web is the one service where location genuinely does not matter. We are in Kumasi, the build happens here, and everything else (kickoff, design review, staging links, training your team on the admin, launch day) happens online. Clients anywhere get the same process, and we invoice in your currency where our processor supports it.

What does matter is your content. Copy, photographs, logo files and product information are the usual bottleneck, and a launch date moves by however long we wait for them. We tell you exactly what we need at quote stage so nothing is a surprise in week three.

Around 80% of our clients stay on retainer, and for web that usually takes the form of a care plan: updates, backups, security patching and content changes on an agreed rhythm, so the site does not quietly rot after launch.

Questions we get asked

How much does a website cost in Ghana?

We quote per project rather than publishing a rate card, because a three-page site and a booking platform are not comparable builds. Projects start at GHS 500, and the quote is fixed for the scope it describes and valid for 30 days from the day we send it.

How long does a website take to build?

A website or a full campaign rollout is usually several weeks, and your quote states the timeline for your specific job. The clock starts when the deposit clears and we have your content: copy, images, logo files. Waiting on content is the single most common reason a launch date moves.

Do you handle the domain and hosting?

Yes, end to end. Domain registration or transfer, hosting, DNS, SSL and redirects from an old site are part of the build rather than something you are left to arrange yourself. If you already have a domain and host you want to keep, we work with what you have.

Can I update the website myself afterwards?

Where the job calls for it we build an admin area so your team can change content, prices and images without needing us. We will tell you honestly at quote stage whether your site actually needs one, for a small brochure site it is sometimes a cost with no payoff.

Do you maintain the site after launch?

We offer care plans covering updates, backups, security and content changes on an agreed rhythm. They are optional. If you would rather take the site and run it in-house, it is yours to take, all final work belongs to you once the invoice is settled in full.

Who owns the finished work?

All final creative belongs to you once the invoice is settled in full. You get the delivered files and the right to use them however you need, with no ongoing licence fee. Editable project files (After Effects compositions, layered design files, raw footage) are working files rather than the product, so they are not part of a standard delivery. Ask up front and we price them into the quote.

Need a site that
actually performs?

Tell us what the site has to do: sell, book, inform, launch. A fixed quote comes back inside one working day, valid 30 days, no obligation.
